Synchronizer

Anni fa mi sono imbattuto nel syncross di lpla, un fork a sua volta ispirato da rebbTRSi.

La prima sconvolgente notizia dopo la scoperta di questo progetto è stata quella di non poterlo sfruttare in quanto i syncross in questione supportavano solo il connettore GameBoy Color

Da qui è partita una divertente sessione di bricolage in cui è stata misurata accuratamente la dimensione del vano d’ingresso del cavo link DMG-04; è bastato riportare le giusta misure su KiDad, et voità, «le Synchronizer!»

Ovviamente era doveroso marchiare il circuito stampato con un paio di decalcomanie per ribadire chi siamo, e sotto saggio consiglio di Ick_ e Artemisia666 un elegante foro per aumentarne l’indossabilità.

Years ago, I stumbled upon lpla’s syncross, a fork itself inspired by rebbTRSi.

The first shocking news after discovering this project was that I couldn’t use it because the syncross in question only supported the GameBoy Color connector.

This sparked a fun DIY session, where I carefully measured the size of the DMG-04 link cable input. All it took was the correct measurements on KiDad, and voilà, “the Synchronizer!”

Obviously, it was necessary to brand the circuit board with a couple of decals to reiterate our identity, and, on the wise advice of Ick_ and Artemisia666, an elegant hole to make it more wearable.
